  • Pulsar Digex C50 NON WIFI | IR KIT

All that said, even with all the superior attributes, it ain't worth a sausage if it whites out like the Digisight and Digex.
Are there any videos from a C50 using IR with some foliage just off the line of sight within say 50 feet?

Is the one with the on board IR any good or is it better buying without and getting an after market IR?

Is it important to get the wifi one? I heard something about updates.

There is no "real world" visual range limit, there's only a limit on how far and in how much detail you want to see a specific target.
However, even mediocre glass will see further and in more detail than any digital stuff available at the moment (and in the near future)
Can you see a rabbit clearly enough at 200 yards to shoot it with a digital scope - yes
Can you see a fox clearly enough at 300 yards to shoot it with a digital scope - yes
Can you see a roe deer clearly enough at 400 yards to shoot it with a digital scope - yes (helluva shot BTW, and not legal in Scotland)

Cheers

Thank you, I borrowed a top end thermal spotter from a keeper and found that beyond 100 yards it’s just blobs on a screen. He did say that you get used to them after a while and can distinguish what’s what. I like to be sure straight away what I’m shooting at especially if they are sitting, squatting,in cover and all the other stuff other than standing broadside

I went thermal because of the glare when using the Digisight 870.
Just Googled some footage of the 870, I see what you mean, not the best!

Just found this vid I took on a night with a decent moon, note the time nearly 1am and if that Munty was ginger and had a long tail it would have been more than shootable with no IR,
The trunks and overhanging foliage in the early part of the vid demonstrate how the C50 sensor deals with glare.
