Barnes 80gr TTSX in 243. No accuracy issues out to 200 yards.
Often little reaction to a heart/lung shot and flop after 50 yards, rather than on the spot with 100gr lead. Can think of three occasions when I actually thought I’d missed due to no reaction, only for the animal to collapse as I readied for a second shot.
Found that they tend to pencil through, generally being neater internally on the rib cage exit, however causing significantly more blood pooling between the fur and membrane on the opposite side.
They work, but don’t think they are half as efficient as a lead equivalent.
