Government are not able to fix the prices of anything much in a free market economy so don't worry . The private sector will grab hold of any chance to get market share and there are only two ways to do that 1. be the best 2. offer the best value .
copper bullets are not so easy to make well and in volume ( at present ), copper is in itself trading at a high and in short supply , most of it comes from Africa which is now under the control of Chinese Business interests. Anyone finds anything as a good alternative and they will make a fortune but the commodity can really only be price manipulated via those who own the mines etc.
I like copper personally but if i couldn't get it and i couldn't use lead i would of course be using whatever i could obtain

I want to get more practice in with my rifle but unfortunately practice is going to be costing me just over double what it would have done due to not being able to get hold of ammo.

To restock its going to cost me £180.28 compared to £80.40 with the ammunition I was previous using but everything is on back order when I've called around.

£100 I could be paying one of you chaps for an outing.

I can imagine the price hikes are related to the fact that a lot of ammunition materials are being pumped into Ukraine at a phenomenal rate.
if times get too desperate they might allow .22 rimfire ammo for stalking :-|. That would make the stalking part a bit more interesting and skillfull.

I have witnessed a lowland red spiker killed stone dead @ 100 yds with a 17hmr!

Before all you book preachers start yowling, it was hit by a car and had a back leg swinging and a keeper mate was the man with the rifle.

I think he just cracks on!
Yes i do!

I had probably killed 1000 head before cabertosh had even started high school!

Just because I’m a chicken farmer from Englandshire doesn’t mean shite!

Rangers and contractors are not the only ones who can kill deer wholesale!

@caberslash you show your inexperience and immaturity through the way you trap off, you never see a professional ranger or contractor trap off, like the way you do!

I’m afraid young man until you get 10 years experience in the job, you’re just a tea boy, then I’ll take what you say seriously!

I think you misunderstood the irony!
And as far as trapping off goes, you're the gold medal holder!
