in the forty plus years I have been shooting, one thing you learn is it is each for their own, look after number one, I’m all right jack, and to hell with the consequences for everybody else. Sadly looking to be no different now with lead.

90-120 gets banded about a lot per beast.

£120 would be top end and lucky to get it I think - would have to be some pretty significant contributing factors for it.

Mid £90’s is generally the norm I think with subbies somewhere in the £70’s

So come on - where are these rich / reasonable foresters at (and do you have a number for them, in the good old stalkers back stabbing way I’d do it for £160!)

Don’t worry I fully understand how capitalism works, if THEY set THEIR price too high then ME and the rest of the target shooters won’t buy THEIR products!!! And just in case you can’t read I stated in my previous reply that I didn’t have a problem with the price of the lead ammunition that I load; so my gripe is with the government and their proposed legislation which has no basis in science.

The copper debate is far from over. Government haven’t voted on the issue, nothing is written into law about it yet, no date has been set for a lead ban. All there is are some empty pledges. Im doing my bit by writing to my MP and signing the petitions; the rest of the shooting fraternity needs to do the same so our MPs can be educated enough to make the right decision. You however just want to monger negativity into us all. Maybe try some optimism!

He shoots hundreds of deer every year and no one shoots more, or is better than him at doing it , oh and hes the best carp fisherman, tracker with a dog etc etc , dont think I've missed anything.

No reason to complain to admin or for any bans as you stated we have a choice with platforms like this.
It's a free country and we all have different opinion.
Ignore you , yes I try my hardest to on social media and on here.

I have totally lost touch with ammunition prices as produced my own for so long now , I buy reloading supplies in bulk but have seen components rise massively recently.
I purchased a new moderator for my .243 recently and while having a look around the shop while the paperwork was being done I see how the prices have increased massively on factory ammo .
A price would never stop me shooting but do wonder now how far the prices are going to rise

Seriously though, a quid to £1.50 a pop does me for the time being / at the moment but

Ill pay for whatever I can get my hands on if required , will I moan if it's a £100 a box of 20 , feckin dead reet ,

But if that's all that is available, it's getting bought , that's 10 outings on the deer if I drop 2 in an outing ,it's still only cost me a tenner per outing for the ammo ,

Fuel to get there ,,,,,,,,,,, well as we all know that's a different thread , but .........

I'll still do my 3 days a month on the lease , and eat beans on toast if I have to,

its all about prioritising / managing your funds ,

Just like anything in life , if you can't afford it , you CANT do it ,
