I mean this is downright stupidity. Our earth is being destroyed by pollution, drugs and crime, corruption and over populating. today 3 kids drowned because no proper advice/precautions. Will they ban frost or ice or ponds/lakes next?

I’ve always said, if someone wants to commit murder, or mass murder, they will find a way to do it by a means accessible. Misc. types of firearms and guns are not available, there will be other means such as knives and cars and petrol bombs, etc.

You simply cannot regulate for psychotic behaviour,.. but In trying to, you certainly can destroy a lot along the way, such as not remembering to teach kids not to walk into half frozen lakes for one!

Pretty sure some of the people who were involved in the Truckers Protest which had Wimpy T running for the border will be affected by this bill.

What will they do? Pretty sure they will do nothing and see how the governement tries to force compliance...

I watched a video on YouTube on this subject early this morning, what a despicable bunch they are. Pretty much like most of the politicians that we have here in this country constantly whittling away at any freedoms and pleasures that we enjoy.

I sincerely hope that our bunch of wassocks don't latch onto some of the amendments in the Canadian bill and try to introduce the same, because there will be an awful lot of guns needing to go to scrap if they do. (For instance any gun capable of accepting a magazine that can hold more than 5 rounds.)

So having seen a lot of very dramatic posts on lots of forums about this (and the inevitable doom mongering that this logic will be used here), I went and had a look.

I can’t see anything that says this.

I have read the amendments to the bill , there's over 600 pages , I can't recommend it as a light read . As it stands , any semi auto center fire rifle is banned , even ones without detachable mags like the SKS , AG42 , even though they have been limited to 5 rounds for many years now . Bolt actions are exempt , except models that are capable , and that's the key phrase , of being chambered in cartridges that exceed 10, 000 joules . They're back pedaling on this as we speak , but that is the wording in the bill . They specifically named Ruger No 1s , Purdey , Westly Richards and Holland & Holland Single and double rifles along with all Weatherbys , Mauser Sporters ( a broad brush ) and for some inexplicable reason , the Model 1908 Brazilian Mauser . They didn't ban them by chambering , but by name . The RCMP have already been told by the Alberta and Saskatchewan governments that they are NOT to enforce these last minute changes in the bill in their jurisdictions, and the Assembly of First Nations , which comprises all of the Chiefs of Canadian First Nations people have said they're going to ignore it . The Liberals tried to weasel these ammendments in after it was before parliament and voted on , a very greasy move . This is on top of the handgun ban , which , unlike what happened in the UK , will not include any compensation . They also included a lot of bolt action rifles that they feel are " Sniper " rifles , like PGW ( Prairie Gun Works ) . This just points out the obvious , the left doesn't differentiate between types of rifles , as a matter of fact , there are a lot of rifles that are in common use in the UK that fall under this bill . They don't like guns and they really don't like those who do , in Canada , the UK , where ever , it doesn't matter . The fight here is far from over . The RCMP have already pointed out that there will be a huge non compliance rate and don't have the personnel to enforce it . The vast majority of the firearms listed are not registered so they have no idea who has what , so it will be almost impossible to enforce anyway . We got rid of the registry for a reason , this is it . The Turd can do what he wants , but it looks like he over stepped his reach ...... again . Interesting times .

I'm afraid it's not looking good, turdos liberals have bared the Conservatives from the house whilst discussing c21.
Looks like all semi autos including shotgun and .22, any thing larger than 12 gauge, so a double 10 would be a no no and any thing that could possibly take a 10 round mag even if it doesn't??? which is any rifle with a detachable mag realistically. Sad times indeed!

Words ….. bottom line these people don’t like guns, don’t want guns and will not stop till there is no public gun ownership …
We have elements of the same in our government both Westminster & Holyrood …
So thinking oh that doesn’t effect me or my style of shooting or type of gun, doesn’t work .. death by thousand cuts and jist move into the next rung on the ladder till it’s all gone.

we already had that with shotguns! Post Hungerford ! My biggest fear is Why the Canadian Government has taken this path ? Criminally minded will have zero issues getting what they need from the USA. Without a 100% register of who has what where if anything restrictions will lead to more guns getting into the wrong hands !
I fear the government there has big plans for the future of its people ? Hopefully 90% of it is whispers and exaggeration.
I have never really required a 10 shot mag indeed i find them a tad harder to remember if you have a round left , when volume shooting . Ten rounds at a beat and your a very bad shot or you just plain didn't aim. I believe many states have a 5 round max mag while hunting?

The rifles are being banned because they can accept magazines that are illegal in this country , not because they actually have them .
Trudeau has largely copied Australia and New Zealand , thankfully , for now anyway , they haven't tried to grab lever actions and pumps ........ yet . I saw one gun ban advocate describing pumps and levers as " Manually Assisted Semi Autos " the other day though , so it is on their minds .

Heck i shoot a 3 shot yet incredibly rarely use the 3rd ( i keep it so i 1. dont have to load one into the chamber manually 2. never end up with an empty gun and a crippled bird to finish.
