Quick-Release Mounts/Rings for Sako 75

I don't understand what some of you have against rails on 75's, when done properly they work well, look great and certainly not high!!

Thanks for taking the time to so perfectly demonstrate my dislike!

Beauty is clearly in the eyes of the beholder and if acute angled rings, knurly in-your-face nuts and a length of bridging steel that adds little floats your canoe I won’t attempt to convince you of the road less traveled.

I love my Near rail as well.

European rails all tend to use clamps which are unsightly. Whereas the Near rails utilise the dovetail on the action.

There are some very nice non knurly large bolt picatinny rings out there.

What is the issue with the one piece optilock rings?

Anthony,

That's a beautiful set-up (and clearly well-done). I don't think you could get it any lower with that size objective lens. However, you also still use an adjustable cheekpiece - something that I now look for in new gun purchases.

🤣🤣🤣 Each to their own I guess, but you are still wrong.......

I have 3 Sako 75's and they all have rails, might post some more pics just to really wind you up......

The rings are TPS and the rail is custom made

Never understood the need for QD rings to fit a different scope. OK if you want to use irons but if you need another scope, buy another rifle to put it on!
