Any pipe smokers on here?

I haven’t smoked fags in 30 yrs but later in life I bought myself a Savinelli tiger Oscar and enjoy a smoke of that.
I still like the odd cigar as well.

I went the same way. I have a Peterson Irish Army, and my favourite mixes are Black Cherry and Vanilla. Smells amazing.
I never inhale. I don’t know anyone who does.
I reread somewhere that the Surgeon General of US determined that pipe smoking was beneficial to health as the de-stressing nature of the hobby offset any other risks (assuming you didn’t inhale)!
 
I smoked roll ups until I stopped at 40.The smell of cigarette smoke makes me retch now, so do cigars but a nice pipe tobacco does smell tempting buy Id be scared to take up the pipe in case it started me back on the fags.It was too hard too stop for me to risk starting again.
I do still think though that the smokers area outside a pub always seems more fun than the non smoking area .

That pic was at a massive bike rally and it was amazing how folk wanted to talk about the pipe and even take a picture hahaha
Some had never seen anyone smoke a pipe before

Pipes quite a different thing from the fags like.
 
cigars for me but i am very tempted by a pipe , i suggested it in passing to my lovely other half and she gave me one of those looks , so no pipe for me
 
Just don’t tell her and keep it in the shed

You won’t regret it bud.
And anyway, it’s easier to apologise for something you’ve already done as try and get permission in the first place.

Yeah, people dont see them.
Im in my 30s and whipped one out in the beer garden, people were a bit wtf? But, summer beer garden with a pint and a bowl lasting a good 45mins was bliss.

I have two types on hand: some kind of Cherry Cavendish (Borkum Riff, perhaps); and something approximating to the late lamented Balkan Sobranie Mixture.
