Sorry to hijack the post, does anyone mind sharing reloading recipes for the K31? Acquired one recently and would love to start loading for it.
Many thanks

Am I wrong or was there a bolt conversion of sorts that had a cross over bolt to make the k11 left hand ?
I seam to remember seeing something years ago but it might have been a bubba job ?

Yes , it is . It's common enough that Swiss Products tooled up and sells the taller front sight specifically for the K31 . There are a number of Swiss shooting associations in Canada and the US , there are about five in Alberta . It started out a long time ago and did originally stick with Swiss service standards , over the years it's changed and morphed into something fairly different . Are there any Swiss shooting associations in the UK ?

AB
not to my knowledge, although I do shoot in Switzerland, alongside BOTR and the Chap as it happens

I use RS60 with the PPU 174grn bullet, I load to the same length as PPU factory and use 48gn (work your load up! ) you can also use N140 (check powder weight with Vhit) dont forget if you use anything other than the PPU 174 grn bullet you may need to seat it deeper than you expect to avoid jamming the bullet in the rifling (K31 chamber was cut to be a tight fit for the GP11 bullet which is a low drag design with a very pointed shape)

I’ve had some success with n150 but have not bothered loading many with PPU at £18/20 but I see they are now at £24/20 so might have to find time to load for the old girl now.

Just be aware that low mounts will screw with the ejection

So dial in your ejection first then choose your mounts
