thank you for your suggestions, appreciated. i will be trying the above plus the other suggestions very kindly put forward.I would clamp the rifle in a work bench so it is rock solid stable, fire a few at the target and see how they are landing. The scope is playing no part so you know if that is playing up.
Do this with and without the mod on to eliminate that as well.

reading between the lines from some of the feedback above, that PCP air rifles are not that consistent accuracy wise ? or is it just BSA models.
consistent reliable accuracy , together with enough power to knock over covid's and rats etc , is my priority. so, should i be swapping in the BSA for a break barrel alternative, any suggested makes , pellet size etc. i don't fancy applying for an FAC air gun, as it is unlikely i would obtain a variation on my licence in my life time, it took surrey police 4 months after my fac run out to renew, busy people . regards
