Can ask a Q re an issue with my BSA airgun?

I would clamp the rifle in a work bench so it is rock solid stable, fire a few at the target and see how they are landing. The scope is playing no part so you know if that is playing up.

Do this with and without the mod on to eliminate that as well.

reading between the lines from some of the feedback above, that PCP air rifles are not that consistent accuracy wise ? or is it just BSA models.
consistent reliable accuracy , together with enough power to knock over covid's and rats etc , is my priority. so, should i be swapping in the BSA for a break barrel alternative, any suggested makes , pellet size etc. i don't fancy applying for an FAC air gun, as it is unlikely i would obtain a variation on my licence in my life time, it took surrey police 4 months after my fac run out to renew, busy people . regards

I have a brand new Air Arms Pro Sport in .22 beech stock, still in the box, never even dried fired and 1,000 pellets, PM me for a price

I have PCPs from AirArms, BSA (an r10), and Daystate - and all are incredibly consistently accurate. Far more consistently accurate than a springer (....and I also own springers, and have done for the last 40 years).

If a PCP isn't grouping properly, there is something wrong with the outfit. Some good suggestions already made, so it is a process of elimination to work out what the cause is.

One more thing, feed the pellets in manually to see if the mag is causing the issue. I have a Wembley axsor that had an issue with the mag shaving the pellet skirt, threw inconsistent shots. Not sure if you can get the pellets in with your fingers on a bsa??

Put a new pellet probe 0 ring on .
This has been the problem on my r10 in the past and is an easy thing to try .

Sorry that's not working.
The little black rubber ring you can see in the (with mag out ) breech on the bolt/pellet probe .

Hi, I work quite a bit on these, two common issues I seen on the r10 that havnt had lots of use or not been services regularly are, the hammer spring adjuster re adjusting itself (when you cock the rifle the spring turns slightly) either up or down in power.
most of all the regulators in the R10 are complete rubbish, it will most likely green and oxidised, bin it and fit a huma one. Just done one this week. At 6 year old it's definitely due a good strip and going over. At 35yrds you should be able to stack pellets on top of each other.

Hello, up until recently, the 35yrd stacking pellets was a regular outcome, obviously I want to get back to this level of accuracy when you say above you work quite a bit on R10s, where are you based, maybe you can sort out my R10?

Chronograph it first, if it's inconsistent then fit a Huma reg. Alternatively, send it off to Carl Garbett at Airtech in Telford, the guy is a genius with R10's.

Regulator has broke. You can get the standard one repaired. However for what it’s worth I’d get it replaced with a huma or ratworks one
