It's complicated, but there is guidance from above.
Only 'Trade Members' can do this to wipe out hecklers on their Classified Ads, but Admin usually gets there first.

Banning members from commenting

Can we ban other members from commenting on our sales posts ? As a trade member I can delete the comments which is rather satisfying but a bit tedious when you get a particular type that doesn't get the message 👍 PS sorry if this is in the wrong section

That should redact the site down to pretty much nothing...
