I also found some knives in stock but in Angola. Might be a gamble but if you pay with PayPal you’d be covered.Ah. I did not. Thank you.

Indeed!Angola??
That does not inspire confidence…
Thank you, but Elmax blade is quite thick - 4mm. It is thicker than my Busse Anorexic BADid you see the second link I edited my post with, you can buy a blade blank and add your own scales?
Reckon I now have more knives than the mrs has shoes (well maybe not quite)
I rate them all got some Boker puma white hunter some custom ones from D Most. All fantastic but as of late I have been using a Victoria knox hunter. As a folder can’t beat it in my own opinion. Holds a cracking edge the saw carves up a fallow rib cage with ease and the gut hook serrated blade is great for skinning.
Cracking little tool.

Fortunately I also bought an autoclave and a job lot of super sterilisation fluid to keep everyone happy!Just remember to use plenty of hot soapy water and clean it thoroughly Stu. Can’t be to unhygienic now can we ….![]()
It may prevent you coming across as a weapons grade throbber in the future. Not a personal insult just an observation of many.
Why so much sterilisation solution? Like most of the people on here, a thimble full would last most of you lot years. In fact it will probably be out of date before you got any blood on your knives!Fortunately I also bought an autoclave and a job lot of super sterilisation fluid to keep everyone happy!![]()

Any decent solution used in the proper strength will kill 99% of germs. They won’t get the rotten flesh out of the nooks and crannies though. That will drop out gradually on the odd occasion that the knife gets used.SUPER sterilisation solution.
Just want to make sure like![]()
Honestly I just use soap and hot water chap to be honest.Any decent solution used in the proper strength will kill 99% of germs. They won’t get the rotten flesh out of the nooks and crannies though. That will drop out gradually on the odd occasion that the knife gets used.
Seriously? How do you know that they're clean when they have gaps and places that you can't see and get into? There's a reason why they don't conform to best practice!Honestly I just use soap and hot water chap to be honest.
I’ve got a number of wooden handled knives and a Real Avid Viscera which has a saw that folds out of the handle and I’ve always been able to get them proper clean with a good load of hot water and soap, maybe run some water through it if there’s some gunk inside but it all comes out. The Avid looks like new and I’ve done dozens of deer with that one, and the wooden handled ones just get a coat of linseed oil after washing to refresh them.
I’ve actually only got one knife that’s a synthetic holder and handle, and would presumably be the only one that’s considered as “suitable” by the definition of the best practice guides![]()
Just gargle with Vercon S that should do the trick palHonestly I just use soap and hot water chap to be honest.

I’m with you on this one. Folding knives have no place in stalking. The EKA swing blade is one of biggest gripes. The whole swing process pushes detritus into the handle.
I’ve got Mora’s which I personally hate. The only cheap knife I would have now days is the Victorinox butchers knives. Far easier to keep sharp.
