Who are the best RFDs for milsurp or just old interesting rifles?

I'm coming back to the UK for a few weeks in the summer and I'd really like to try and find a Martini action rifle in 303 to take home with me. I'll probably post a wanted in the classifieds closer to the time, but I'm hoping that people will have some suggestions as to dealers who would be good for this sort of thing.

Plus it's just fun to see interesting old guns!

So - any ideas?

Online, try Guntrader or Gunstar. Many RFDs advertise on there and so do private individuals.

Here's a link to the only one I found (with a cursory search) on Guntrader:

We have quite a few service and curios
enfield from long lee to No4/5/8 depending on stock
K31s, K98, Gewehr 98, Yugo 98s
few falling blocks have come and gone
new stock in all the time but often goes before hitting guntrader as we have people waiting
we work closely with two or three clubs that specialise in vintage arms (and owners.)

drop me a line

Thanks Ed, I will do that.

Another one to call is Matt at mjlmilitaria..
The web site isn't great but by all means give Matt a call.
Definitely. The web pages are only a taster of what they've got. I don't think they've got the time to list everything. Go into their live firing rifle store and be met with a host of wonders. Matt or Duncan to contact. 01630 620226. But allocate a bit of time.

Clearly I am going to have to overcome my reluctance to use voice communication! Lots of great suggestions. Looks like I'll be clocking up some miles whilst over in the UK too.

Pick me up something nice while you're at it . A nice Martini sporter would fit in my safe quite nicely ................... just kidding ...............unless you see something really nice .

The limit is whatever I can sneak onto my C&R FFL! As an aside, at $35, that's probably the best value I've ever spent on anything shooting related.

Mate of mine runs Guns and Guns in Redhill and often has interesting and unusual guns in stock. Worth checking them out 👍🏻
I've just had a look at his website and he does have some interesting looking rifles. His pricing doesn't look greedy either.

Believe it or not, used rifles prices are generally lower now in the UK than over here. Especially for the sorts of thing I find interesting (old, single shot, milsurp, oddball).
