Hello,
I've been shooting clays for over 6 years, with 2 muskets (12 and 8 bore), and a variety of odd job shotguns, my favourite is my GP Greener Martini action.
I've been target shooting with a club for years, and just before Christmas 2025 got my FAC ticket. Immediately picked up some guns from Holts, a decent Remington 308, a very accurate 22 marlin semi-auto, and a 45 Ruger Old Army revolver that unbeknownst to me has a locking issue with some chambers (my fault for not knowing what to look out for).
I'm gathering bits and bobs for reloading 308 and 44 mag ammo (still need to buy a 44 gun), as I found out it's wildly more detailed than loading shotgun cartridges, which I've done for years. The old boys in the club have been very helpful, and given me some kit. I need to buy some crucial beginners kit - which I'm hoping to find on this site, and would appreciate any additional guidance and tips on the enigmatic world of reloading.
I've never shot any quarry, but really like venison and wild boar, eventually I would like to get into stalking with experienced hunters.
Thanks
