Lee hand press - anybody use one?

I use one. It works perfectly well, and the resulting ammo is entirely adequate. I wouldn't want to load large batches with it. I don't really want or need to have a dedicated reloading bench, and all the reloadong equipment fits in a wine case.
It is useful if you're developing a load. I load the various weights of powder into vials, and then load rounds as I use them on my range. This avoids having any rounds you later need to pull apart.

I use it, but only for setting the bullet.
Let me start from the beginning.
I live in a small flat (48 sq. meters, i.e. 517 sq. ft). For comfort and peace while reloading I decided to split the operations: sizing/decapping in the basement, while the rest of the operations are done upstairs, with less bulky equipment.
The Lee press is a bit hard to use for resizing, while it is light and easy for setting the bullet. It is a tool to be suggested to people living in a small place

Use one for full length sizing, works well. Use a lee loader with an arbor press for bullet seating. Whole kit fit in a medium stacker box.

Used one at a comp once (one of the first steel plate comps in the UK - at WMS organised by UK Varminting forum ) to re seat some cartridges that were a little “long” for a fellow competitor

Worked a treat

Some memory jogs ;

I use the Lee handpress for seating bullets as I find it is more consistent and also gentler on the brass and bullets than seating with a full sized reloading press.

It was actually to full length size as the competitors was using ammunition from his old Accuracy International AW in a custom chambered DTA. If my memory serves me well lip balm was used as lube 🤣🤣🤣

Now if you want to go fancy with a hand press this one from Buchanon Precision Machine is pure class. I’ve been using one for 4 years and full length size on it with ease. I have a Forster Co-Ax out in the garage but it’s far comfier loading at the kitchen table in the house where I can keep and eye on the bin lids. As you will see the ammunition it makes is more the adequate. Although it does say something about the other variables used in the process.

I had one and found it hard work. I'd prefer to have a bench mounted press bolted to a length of sturdy timber or ply which can be clamped to a table when needed. If space is a real issue, I even prefer a Lee Loader!

It can work like most things . However L.E Wilson Hand dies and a plastic mallet or small arbour press is so way better ( producing mostly better results than a big bench mounted press)
