Though I do want to see what the bedding and recoil lug recess look like before I give a final verdict.
Well, let them waitI'm sure the ever diminishing market of prospective new rifle buyers will wait with baited breath for your appraisal![]()
True, but the 28 Nosler is still way less popular in those markets than the .223, 30-06 and 300 Win Mag, among others absent in the lineup. The UK is a tiny and frankly insignificant market compared to Europe and the US.
Yeah, but at £3200, you can buy a lot of rifle for that elsewhere. From the pictures above it looks like a typical sako steel magazine.
They look like nice rifles.
Yep, it's frightening when you think of the cost of items to shoot bambi. Add the cost of pickup, bike, trailer etc and the bottom jaw dropsYeah, but at £3200, you can buy a lot of rifle for that elsewhere.
Plus mod, scope, rings, sling, etc - easily pushing £5k for a new rig.
That is roughly twice what I paid for my most expensive set up, and I can’t imagine that it’s going to shoot twice as accurately (not that my skills are good enough to get within 0.5 moa anyway!!)
making sure the mag doent get accidently relesed and lost , i have know a couple og guys that managed that ! though i still very rarely bother , i have more than one and mags are freely availble from mags uk , i carry two anyhow .There were issues with the integral bolt lock failing (accidentally engaging the lock) at unhelpful times, but what’s the tape issue @Bowland blades ?
Rigidity on the original synth stock wasn’t great either, though there are better alternatives than MacMillan glass fibre models.
Everything is getting more expensive. Different strokes for different folks at the end of the day. People pay more than that for a Blaser.Yeah, but at £3200, you can buy a lot of rifle for that elsewhere.

Indeed - there does come a point where it’s real diminishing returns.Everything is getting more expensive. Different strokes for different folks at the end of the day. People pay more than that for a Blaser.
I'm happy with my accurate, relatively cheap, 2nd hand rifles but some people prefer the latest new things.
You’re a long time dead mate and there’s no prizes for being the richest man in the graveyard. ThisIrrelevant unless you’re in the top 5% of bench rest shooters and with respect the Mauser 98 has set the standard for bolt action reliability for 125 years, it doesn’t centre feed, doesn’t have a detachable box and still hasn’t been bettered.
No, shoot, eject, reload.
Repeat as often as required or until the magazine is exhausted.
If you fire your last shot, open the bolt eject the case and thumb in the reloads.
If you’re just topping up, draw the bolt back, push the extracted round down into the mag and follow it with the rest.
Push the bolt forward, you’re now locked and fully loaded.
