Great to hear that! The knife will be getting much more use than I would ever manage
It was also a pleasure to meet “Archer” a true gentleman and a very knowledgeable stalker.

It would be nice to see a few more people on here supporting the site by becoming supporters. After all its only £24 for a whole year, and a prize draw every month. That many have won, (Except Stalker1962) His day will come no doubt

A big thank you to @sikamalc for organising the draw, to all of the SD supporters for financing it, to the BDS tutors who put on a great three day course and for my classmates for having some good craic while we were there.
To mirror what everybody else has said; I felt very privileged to win a place on the course. For me, this increased the pressure - I'd be very disappointed to fail any of the assessments while taking the opportunity away from somebody who would have liked to be there in my place. Hopefully I did enough in the final exams yesterday to make the grade.
For anyone thinking of doing their DSC1 who hasn't been stalking before then I would highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to getting some days booked in locally now and learning the practical side of the job.

I am pleased to say I received my certificate (and badge) in the post this morning!!
Thank you again for all who organised this, and I feel a great sense of relief that I didn't waste the opportunity by caving to the pressure (not sat a test for 30 years!) and fluffing the whole thing up!!

Well done guys! It was an excellent course. Learnt so much. Still awaiting my written test results and I also have the kind offer of help from @Cotswold Sporting . I agree with the thoughts of @sikamalc not only did I meet a great group of like minded people but I have been taken aback by the generosity and kindness of members on this forum!!!
