Two days, three lions, three gin traps

You are right. Maybe SD admin should start an annual levy on members something small say £20 a year that can be donated to support hunters like CarlW who are also engaged in really beneficial conservation efforts. How many would support his? After all we all get a lot of value and enjoyment from the posts on SD so why not we all pay a little for it. I mean all ordinary members not Trade Members or Supporters who already contribute. So an ordinary members conservation levy, who’s up for it?

Great idea - money to people really doing the job

Walking the walk so to speak

Laudible as that might be, it would kill the site. Who's likely to join a forum which costs £20 for a cause which may not be on their radar?

I totally agree. It’s rather disappointing but not unexpected as we are all aware of the general apathy of the shooting community at large, who generally have the attitude of “oh well someone else will sort it out“. Yes I can well image all those owners of expensive rifles, scopes and high syndicate fees leaving in drover at having to pay £20 a year.

Even if it was a voluntary fee - at least it would help do some real good
