Hello to the SD from ATN!

ATN, you will hopefully know as one of the global manufacturers of Night Vision and Thermal Imaging technology (www.atneu.com). We are reinventing ourselves, we understand the need for consumer engagement, being approachable, and available for help.

NV and TI technologies are relatively complex, ATN wants to be at the customer engagement front when it comes to helping use/update/service/repair your devices.

We have a UK office based in Hereford, here we manufacture our Thermal Imaging units, service, QA, and conduct repairs, along with UK sales, Export sales, and customer support.

What we are here to offer on The Stalking Directory:
1. Approachability - if you need help with updates/firmware/servicing/repairs, get in contact! We can service or repair your device and have it back in your hands within a working week in over 95% of cases.
2. Product updates - we are just launching new Gen 5 NV and TI products, and are excited to share the news with the SD community.
3. Feedback - we want feedback, not only the bad of course, but constructive feedback, positive feedback, stories, and even product development ideas
4. We are always looking for promotional ideas, if you have any ideas, let us know. Equally with Brand Ambassadors and Influencers, if you think you have what it takes and wish to be part of our journey, get in contact!

Welcome. I saw the fieldsports Chanel field tester with all the big name nv scopes. The ATn really surprised them.
Personally I'd like to see a tube based scope with a good base mag say 8x with the money spent on usability / reliability and not bells and whistles such as recording and WiFi etc. Maybe with a rapid startup of 1-2 seconds. Saves having to be on all the time 'just in case'. The battery could then last for weeks of shooting instead of hours.

Who needs all the bells and whistles?

Find myself currently priced out of the decent thermal market. Most of the feature lists on the new devices are huge now and so warrant a high price point. When most of us just want a device for spotting...

Sorry, that's not correct.
The "features" you don't like cost next to nothing. Making scopes without those "features" would not result in a cheaper selling price

There are Lt and Ltv ATN versions of NV and Thermals. Not so many 'features' with these, just basic 'right on's'. These devices cost considerably less than the main line. Use myself 2 different such scopes and they deliver very well. Good thermal for 2K, sort of.

Welcome to the site from sunny Sittingbourne in Kent. I do not do night vision, but I have friends who do. I have seen a lot of this kit, including yours. As a generalisation they always say that there are 937 different colour pallets to choose from, and 286 different reticles in case there is a winter equinox before the summer solstice. Turning it on requires a degree in artificial intelligence, and forget it if you have gloves on. You seem to delight in making everything for a 12 year old gamer, and far too complicated for the person who will actually use it. In order to afford this kit you need to be old. This comes with iffy eyesight, shaky hands, and poor memory. Best advice you will ever receive ATN, is keep it to a one toutch operation. Simplicity works. Keep it simple. The simpler the better. And BIG buttons for when you have gloves on.

I’ve got one of your x-sight pro 5-20 on my hmr, can’t fault it. Been invaluable with getting ontop of rabbits. It’s fantastic having the day mode, as can still use it daily in the truck.

However as a full time keeper I’m not interested in the WiFi, Bluetooth, recording, kitchen sink, etc, If I had the option to choose something without I would. Also would like a removable battery, so I can have a spare with me. I have the charger lead through the cabinet so it’s always charging while in there, but there has been times where I’ve obviously turned it on in morning to shoot a squirrel forgot to turn it off gone out rabbiting and had to plug it in the cigarette plug on way round.

had a 5-20 4k pro since they first came out, initially firmware was poor as it would lockup however latest build has been very much better.
But issues like poor reliability and customer service have given ATN a very bad reputation in the U.K., so i am pleased to see you participating in SD and good luck with fixing the reputation of the brand, which is currently like marmite love it or hate it.
