CZ 600 Recall

The actual notice is here CZ 600 Recall which saves listening to that over long video.

Locking the bolt into the barrel is common on switch barrel rifles, so not sure who thay have got thos so wrong.

I am sure they will cure it for the replacemnet model.

Thought it would be worth listening to someone who actually owns one (like the guy in the video) instead of someone just reading out a CZ press release...

I hope they can fix it so that it actually becomes a safe switch barrel rifle - but their "fix" of using industrial grade locktite on the screws that lock the barrel in place and the statement that the removal of the barrel by anyone but an authorised dealer will void the warranty does indicate a bit of panic on CZs part.
Given the penchant for lawsuits in that country, I wonder if a recall would have happened if the rifles were not for sale in the USA.

Cheers

Basically…people cannot be trusted to roast a chicken!!..even with the time and temp on the packet! All CZ have done is use industrial Loktite to prevent unauthorised removal….it’s still switch barrel..just needs done by a gunsmith…to prevent those with a lack of common sense injuring themselves and suing CZ.

Basically, you are wrong!…again!
spoke to Ryan today at sportsman guncentre…he confirmed every point I made.

Go out and buy a Blaser R8, or any other factory switch-barreled rifle, but loctite the barrel on.

Try and sell it.

Good luck.

I'm sure the man selling you a 'new' rifle which is dusty on the display shelf is telling the truth and nothing but... :fib:

Savage used to sell rifles with a barrel lock nut that allowed a quick and 'easy' barrel change.
The headspace issue was the users responsibility.
If you got it wrong......................... well; it was you that did it. So "suck it up princess".
What has happened to 'personal responsibility'?

Hope you got a very good price, I love CZ’s, have owned several rummies and CF’s but the 600 just isn’t up there with the older models and very few will want to buy them now, so second hand value is going to be very poor.

I have had to put the CZ600 on ice! Twist rate not 1:10..it’s 1:7 or 1:9!…weight…may be over 10lbs….barrel length…20” or 24”?.
I’ll know definitely tomorrow…looking at others now…Sauer??

Probably 1:9 as that is what the 527 Varmint was, it’s an ideal weight in .223 if you’re not looking to really reach out >600 yards as will shoot 40-69 grain bullets very well.

They’ll all do the job, a lightweight howa sat in a bell and Carlson would be good.

Looks like the Cz600 lux is 1:9 and the 600 Alpha 1:7??
Howa 1500 is good value…as is Weatherby Vanguard mkII (Howa).
55gr max out to 200yds max…I’ll use my 22-250 or .243 for anything else.

So why is the 1:9 putting you off?

I think you’re 22-250 or .243 would work equally well to 200 yards with a. 55 gr bullet.
