What scopes do you use with PARD007SP

I bought a PARD007SP but have to mount it tilted to one side to avoid the top turret interfering with the range finder and in built IR. What scopes do others use and how do they perform?

Pretty much any scope with non target turrets will allow both the LRF and IR to work correctly
Also, given that the 007SP has far too much optical magnification at x2.5 (and a correspondingly narrow field of view), use a scope with as low a base magnification as possible because whatever magnification you have your scope set at, you'll need to multiply that by x2.5 to get your effective magnification.
Frankly, if you've had it less than 14 days, send it back and get a refund

Cheers

I've sold pushing on 200 of these units now and not had any issues or complaints to this date, some people out there must like them :)

I have the original and it works really well on a hawke SF 3-12 and pretty well on a Nightforce 3.5-15 - I’ve shot things at 200m on a good night with the onboard IR, I quite like it’s a solution that lets me have a scope for the day and NV once it gets dark.

Never noticed an issue with the turrets but I don’t have the range Finder

I’ve never had an issue with my pards 007’s apart from having to install a riser on the mounts of the blasers as the bayonet fitting can make the original mount a tad tight still works ok but a wee bit on the tight side and I use an external IR wouldn't have a range finder anyway as I have them on my spotter thermal. 007V works for me on a hawke scope can’t fault the set up less is more sometimes

RF- Hawke 4-16x50 SF

CF- S&B 4-16X50 Klassik/Precision Hunter

A neat tip is to get a 'LPVO Magnifier' mount for the additional illuminator (Dark Engine Blade pictured from @Clive Ward ). Glad I got the LRF version as it makes the device that much more capable.

Really transforms the device from a plinking tool for rats/rabbits into a 300m+ capable device due to the flood/spot focus and illumination control. :thumb:

Sold my DronePro 10x as I use my 007s everytime, longest fox to date 328m at night with IR laser. pm2 at 7x and Pard at2.5x so 17.5x combined. Great units pity that Lard didn't switch lrf and IR module around so lrf off the one side so could be used with all scopes!

Yikes
Might be getting one of these then

My longbow is starting to get on my tits with the being s*it scared to expose it to light

It's clear as beyond tho

@caberslash you are fairly no nonsense, will the NV007sp lrf work on a S&B exos with a good laser ?
Say 200m ID a fox ?

Never seen or handled an Exos or ever will due to the stupid price.

Hawke with side focus and the old S&B Klassik 4-16 can do 300m+

You may have an issue with the glass not transmitting IR properly.

And the turret may be too tall and interfere with the LRF.

Didn't think 1600 was too bad of a price.

Thanks for the info

Hi Kieran,
I have a Pard 007SP (non LRF) and have used on a few scopes. The best scope has been the Hawke Frontier 3-15x50. The turret is low enough not to interfere with the Pard’s IR, even when the IR light is narrowed to ‘spot’. In contrast, my Hawke Sidewinder 4-16x50 turret sits higher, and this interferes with the Pard’s IR but only when on ‘spot’, and compromises the visible image. Same issue with my Vortex PST Gen 2 5-25x50. I’m considering an external IR instead to overcome

Is that zeiss top end glass ?
Yes I guess so with a retail close to £3k these days. Top end scopes will work with rear add ons they just aren’t as good. Perfectly useable out to the ranges I mention above, which does me. I would prefer decent glass and a slightly lesser NV image over perfect NV image and a pile of poo stalking scope. My NV shooting doesn’t require me to be able to count hairs on a fox at 500m. I am happy to be able to do a decent id check the backstop and shoot out to 200m ish.

It’s not just Zeiss scopes I have used rear add ons with either. Z6i, S&B Polar and Blaser B1’s and B2’s. All give you a workable image to about the same range and the 50m bottom limit on the parallax and coatings just mean you have a slightly fuzzy image of a fox instead of an OLED image of a fox.

Do people have issues with the turret interfering with the LRF. The LRF splash is way off the x displayed x for the distance. If you aren't careful to ensure that the LRF splash is on your target tour distance reading can be way off. Is there any way of aligning the splash and the x?

Think Bruce did a video on how to adjust the splash by removing a front plastic ring exposing 4 small screws?? Ill try to find it on YouTube for you
