Waterproof fleece?

I saw several waterproof fleeces online and wonder how comfortable they are in general - in the field, then inside a building/restaurant when having rest, even at home. From the description, they have a waterproof membrane, I wonder if it is sufficiently breathable to be comfortable and if they last...
Many thanks

I have a wynnster one. Full zip. Wear it on my bike wind and waterproof. If truth be told have rarely worn it
Would be handy for country walk if you got caught out in a heavy shower. Still available on line. Relatively cheap.

I have a couple. Too hot for inside use, and sweaty if you are working hard.

Ideal for pottering about on typically dreich winter days when it’s intermittent showers.

This is what I am concerned with - too hot inside, need better breathability, but also waterproof, which is contradictory

I tend to default to fluffy type fleece for warmth, and stick a ventile smock over the top to keep rain out.

I do use my Deerhunter bonded fleece for when I am outside, not moving hard but want to be warm and dry.

A good thick pile fleece will hold the water out for 30min. Which if stalking in woodland is quite a long time to be out in the rain. I've had a few waterproof lined fleeces but have been awful things to wear. The old coarse grained polartec fleece was very good, but didn't agree with hot things or being caked in conifer sap. When it's to wet for the fleece pop a waterproof layer over the top

Deer hunter with membrane for me. Hard wearing and very good for most conditions including quite heavy showers. Probably too hot for indoors.

No - I don't want sitting in my house in a waterproof coat  . And I don't want putting another layer on top when I go out, I'm toying with an idea of something universal. If it exists (sounds it does not)
