In the beautiful Cotswolds!!
It’s with great excitement and anticipation, that we are able to offer a further two jobs for the new season which dare I say it is only just over 2 months away!! With the expansion of our business still growing and more ground being taken on it thrills me to offer such positions.
Come February 2024, we will be looking to take on another full time Gamekeeper. As well as rearing personnel on a 7month based, with a view to running through the winter turning their hand to help with beating, game prep and for the right candidate potentially shoot hosting.
These two exciting positions we wish to be filled with honest and trustworthy candidates. Who have a passion for the job in hand in every aspect in the world of gamekeeping and wildlife conservation.
With both of our estates firmly in WB schemes, as well as over winter feeding for birds other than just game birds. This along side habitat management for bumble bee mixtures all across the estates to encourage a huge range on insect species. It’s crucial that the candidates are keen to help with this and watch it thrive!
Both estates are very much family run establishments, with the main emphasis on high standards of driven game shooting, of mixed bags. Putting on this season around 90-100 days between them.
The rearing field is a joint venture for both estates as well as selling to our very loyal longstanding customers. Producing high quality poults. Whilst it’s a fairly size rearing field, it’s one of the least labour intensive. With full gas lines (no bottled gas) fully automated drinking systems. Electricity + lighting through every unit, making the job in had super easy! The results show this!
Gamekeeping position:
•Honest trustworthy
•Reliable
•Full drivers license
•Polite
•SGC / FAC
•Clean and tidy nature
•Easy on equipment
•2 years of experience
•Good husbandry
•Highly motivated
•Vocal
Rearing position:
•Motivated
•Rearing experience
•Willing to learn new methods
•Time keeping
•Clean and tidy
•Communication
•Working as part of a team or on your own.
•Full drivers license
•Husbandry skills is paramount!
Accommodation can be provided for both of these positions. If a local candidate to the Cotswolds is found we are happy to help with rent pay as we have done this in the past.
•Estate vehicles will be provided if necessary.
•Dog food allowance for gamekeeping position will be on hand from our shop.
•Full monthly salary.
•Shoot attire.
•Waterproofs
•Any PPE seen necessary
•Along with more perks which tie in with the job.
