It can on whether the Landowner has opted to tax the land in question for long leases as well, but I would say generally yes

Cheers! Thats pretty clear then. It’s been added to mine for the first time this year without any explanation, but everything I’ve read points to me being lucky before rather than it being wrong now. Looks like my stalking just got 20% more expensive!

I suspect that those who do not pay VAT will probably be reluctant to say so. Of course VAT is applicable to sporting rents but I think that there are many a farmer who prefers the cash.
