Looking to replace with like for like replacement in 1 inch (these are 30mm). On a Ron Wharton .275. Would really help if I knew the make/model then I can look into sourcing in 1 inch replacement. IMG_3858.webpIMG_3862.webpThanks

Or you could fit plastic inserts and retain your original rings.
Cushion your new scope, no ring marks.
Just a thought.

’David Lloyd‘ mounts are very different from the ones in the photo.
He didn't just do the sheathed mounts which were his trade mark, but also did some two piece mounts that were very similar to those shown in the photos, very light weight and absolutely rock solid when mounted.

Look at the height/thickness of the base and the scalloping to reduce weight, they are far too finessed for Leup bases IMHO
Agreed not Leupold bases, but whatever they are they are designed to be used with standard Leupold rings by the look of it.

I’ve got some similar bases on a Gibbs Masuer actioned rifle, and have used various standard Leupold rings

You think I can replace just the rings and retain the bases? That would be ideal. Can’t recall how the rings fit to the bases (and would rather not disrupt zero to find out just now). What do I look for, ‘standard Leupold rings’, or is there a better search term? Thanks

Yes very easily.

Here is a video showing how these style of rings fit to the base. You really don’t need the special tool they use.

These are the style of ring so you know what to look for. I’d look for some nice old style blued steel ones without the logo as they will look best on your rifle.

PM if you want a hand.

Don’t do it. Leupold should fit, but they will look odd and not match the finish on the bases. Keep what you have or replace them entirely with Conetrol or S&K

These additional photos may help. The ring bands are 15mm wide, are the Leupold ones that wide, or slimmer? Thanks.IMG_3936.webpIMG_3935.webpIMG_3932.webpIMG_3931.webp

When you say “he” are you referring to David Lloyd or Ron Wharton?
