I usually go and look for a deer after work on a Friday but do you know...I couldn't be arsed!
But I wanted to shoot my 30/30 so I grabbed a handful of sub par loads with Speer 100gn plinkers on top of some shotgun powder and went small game hunting instead.
The bullets were kindly sent by a member of the stalking directory.
First shot was a head shot rabbit at 30 yds.
Next I got a cock pheasant and third a squirrel.
I fired four cartridges for three items. Not to shabby.

That's odd, I was only thinking the other had I should cast some 113FN for the Winchester.

How much difference in zero between these and deer loads?

Quite a bit! To much for my elevator actually!!

My deer loads have rear elevator all the way down. The small game loads need it all the way up and then the front sight needs poking up more than normal.
It needs a bit more velocity but I don't want to increase it any more with what I'm using.

That's what I feared. Tried some cast in the Blackout this week, accuracy was good, expansion not so much .
