I'm struggling to get a load for Yew Tree copper 145 grain in my 308 to group tighter than 1inch at 100m. I've tried 5 different loads with H4895 and Viht N140. My load for 150g Barnes TTSX gives clover leaf groups consistently, but I've been recommended to try Yew Tree.

Does anyone have a favourite recipe?

Without wanting to offend, but the chap that makes them is a literal expert and if you've bought from him , he will absolutely help you with most patience.

Did you seat them at least 50 thou off the lands?

Firstly talk to Richard @Yew Tree Fieldsports he is very very very helpful,

secondly - have you measured your rifle with a gauge and what’s the jump you are running? I run 44gr N140 with a 50thou gap off the lands and they clover in mine at 100yard.

More jump mine are at 120tho off the lands

As has been already suggested, speak to Richard @Yew Tree Fieldsports he knows his stuff and is always willing to help. I've been using these in my 30-06 on everything from muntjac to reds with great effect.

As as as as above 🤣 speak to Richard, guy is the expert on these, I use them and they cloverleaf in mine on a bad day !! And it’s all thanks to Info supplied by Richard.
Still only taken 3 species (multiples of each) to date but all with exact same results

Edited to say, they do sound heavy for .308

Thanks all, I've followed Richard's advice about reloading his heads from his website, including trying a range of bullet jumps, and now I've emailed him with my further questions. When I succeed in getting the groups I need, I'll let you know.

1” is pretty good. How many shots is that? If you can put 10 shots under 1.5” that’s going to be pretty good for a long ways out. How many shots are your cloverleaf groups?
