Sold: Bitch Teckel Rehoming

Well my new 'Co-Pilot' has landed, give her a few days to settle into her new surroundings, I've no doubt it's all a bit daunting for wee Freckle at the minute wondering what all the upheaval is about.
@Johno2486
@Mickeydredd

Well I don't know about anyone else, but that was the best post I have read all year.

Good luck to you all.

Would be nice to see some photos of your upcoming trip.

Thanks for all the great comments guys, will post a few pics up from Arran upon my return, Freckle settling in slowly but surely, myself and half the street now know what a Teckel sounds like in full Banshee mode @ 02.15 in the morning, and my back knows what it feels like to sleep on a couch to help try pacify her, totaly fine whilst i was in the room, obviously Freckle has a bit of anxiety which has to be expected.

Her two 'new' wee house mates are wondering what all the fuss was about and why their normal 23hrs of daily sleep was being interrupted...lol

I'm busy trying to sort gear out for Arran, being followed and watched at every turn, she doesn't miss a trick, whilst her two new pals snore peacefully down stairs..lol

The 3 Amigos..

Has she come back yet?

Hi, yes Freckle home safe & sound from Arran last night bit later than planned due to boats/weather.
She had an absolute ball, me I've aged slightly ...lol (not that I've many years left to age now) she did very well, considering time spent together for bonding, but shes very very alert and keen as mustard.
Struggling to get her to walk to heel on any other surface apart from terrafirma, get bit grass/heather underfoot and she wants her head (def not to be let off lead in this situation) very quiet until she comes across deer track/scent, then the hound in her kicks in.
Only 1 spiker grassed full weekend, (Freckle was in Landie), grassed animal, back to LR got her out, took her to where deer first showed its head out the woods, & she took over, beast had run on zig/zag for about 70 yards, it was just getting grey dark but despite this Freckle locked on, followed full scent track straight to the beast, where she proceeded to rag doll it like it was going out of fashion !!

So overall very pleased with her, needs work on re-call (she's fine in local park) but not a hope of her stopping for me once scent driven, no flinching from shots.

But she's a wee cracker & I look forward to many more outings together, she bumped couple roe this afternoon out for a walk with her and my wife's male pug, so she well knew they were there in the gorse I never saw them till they were pushed out...

Proper harness etc ordered from Primoz Rauter so that should hopefully be here for the 'big man' to.drop off....
& she has now totally settled down in the house no more yelping or going into Banshee mode, although she does have a wee whimper when I go out of view for a brief minute then settles, and the tail goes like the clappers if she sees a pair of boots going on..lol

In the current state of the world, it's nice to see a happy ending for a wee dog.

Johno, Just be careful the buckles are genuinely locked on Primo's harnesses. I had a few hairy moments when Franz stepped out sideways & went off down the lane & through the village.
OH, & hope you get that thing you call RE call improved, mine are OK now (Ish);)

A great wee hunting companion, Im sure she will earn her keep. Just watch those Arran ticks. I don't need to tell you about my escapades of chasing runaway Teckels on those hills, just make sure she's secured to you.
