Finished this up earlier today and it is such a lovely thing I thought I'd give it a show.
Another little pressie this one too, commissioned by a young lady for her partners birthday which is in a few days time, the blanked out area on the blade is a result of his families coat of arms being engraved there.
It is a general purpose, all rounder, 8" bladed kitchen knife, SF100 steel at a shade over 2mm, that thickness (thinness?
) of steel along with an almost full width and tapering blade grind produces such a light and lively thing in hand, it is a delight to hold and will be to use.
Handle scales are Curly, or Karelian Birch, again the timber specifically sourced as the gent who will be receiving the knife is of Karelian descent.
A proper thing all round and everything just works and falls into place
