Stalking on cornflakes

Well done.

I long for some snow here in Lowland GB but it no longer materialises however much I pray. At least in any volume and longevity that permits a meaningful foray with rifle & camera.

Tried waiting for the magic moment this evening and it was too cold 🥶 and I gave up… in the end shot a doe on the way home just at last shooting light. Ground hard so easy drive across the fields to collect

What a beautiful shotgun , what make is it if you don’t mind me asking ?
P Webley (before they became Webley & Scott), thumb hole opener with rebounding hammers after the Purdey model; made between 1870 & 1885. It’s been sleeved so I do use it quite regularly & also had long Teague chokes fitted. I swapped it for an old Mirouku at Dickson’s & they did a great job of fitting it to me & extending the stock. My favourite gun by a long way.
