dont do it, it never endsHi,
I received my 0 MOA mount from Blackwood Outdoors today.
With the 35 moa mount the reticle was 2/3rds the way up the screen and pretty central.
With the 0 mount now fitted and bore sighted the reticle is very slightly right of centre and just under half way down the screen.
Suits me fine.X=19, Y=74.
This will almost certainly need fine tuning at the range tomorrow.
Cheers, Ken.
Hi Bruce,Y=74 indicates that the reticle is still above the centre of the screen.
If it was -74, then it would be below the centre of the screen
I think a shim or two would get it more central
Cheers

Par for the course with the LRF.Hi Bruce,
Using the 35 moa mount, when set 1/2” low at 50 yards Y axis was 163 and that placed the reticle in the top half of the screen.
At Y 74 the reticle deff. Looked lower than half way down. (Rifle packed for early range start tomorrow so can’t look now).
Will check tomorrow but I’m happy where it is.
Noticed that I’m not getting readings from the range finder through glass and very seldom indoors.
Is this par for the course?
Cheers, Ken.
I wondered about the range finder because my dedicated range finder works very well through glass.Par for the course with the LRF.
The LRF does not work at ranges less than 10 yards/metres and even at ranges of more than 10 yards/metres glass will reflect as well as transmit light from the laser both out to the target and back again, reducing the amount reaching the receiver below the minimum level needed for the electronics to calculate a range
The centre of the screen is x=0 and y=0
Anything above centre is positive, anything below centre is negative
Anything to the right of centre is positive, anything to the left of centre is negative
Cheers
Bruce
Both my PARD007SPLR and Zulus LRF do not work through glass, but my Leica Rangemaster 1000R LRF does.I wondered about the range finder because my dedicated range finder works very well through glass.

I received my 0moa long mount yesterday too and have it fitted. I've not had a chance to boresight yet and likely won't for another week I think.
The long mount has an extra 2 mounting holes so gives up to an extra 28.5mm closer back to your eye. This definitely makes it a little more comfortable to use for me.
Does anyone know if the X and Y axis numbers equate to a set amount at a certain distance? As I've reduced the mount by 35moa that would equate to an approximate reduction in the in the Y value

Ps. After zeroing I removed the Zulus and replaced it with an Eotech Holo. sight which I zeroed. I then put the AZ back on and the poi was exactly the same as previous. V pleased at that.Hi nun_hunter,
Fitted my 0 moa mount and bore sighted it yesterday.
Twas a couple inches out on targets today but soon set it to my preferred 1/4" low @ 50 yds.
X & Y now 4 & 47.
With the 35 moa mount on and a near similar poi X was 25 & Y was 163.
My ret. is nearer the center now.
Cheers, Ken.
