XL-Bully dogs

I think with this dog, sometimes it's both.
Yes, however if it’s it’s in them, it’s in them and in these it doesn’t seem to take a lot to get it to come out.

There are very few dogs I would want around me that can overpower a human…a Great Dane would be one, and a St Bernard..I can’t think of many more that have the same mass/power as a human that I would trust.

People say about German Shepards/Alsatians - but the fact is most human men can pick one of those up off the ground and stomp on it if need be.

Breeds that are seen to kill should not be allowed in public spaces ? would anyone advocate lions and tigers be let lose in parks or be on restraint harness held by someone who is not at least twice as strong of there pet ??

May I say I like agree with alot of your posts?
But I can’t agree with you that breed plays ‘a little’ part in this. Chicken or egg, cause or effect… the numbers don’t lie.
XLs are a menace. They should be illegal.
Can we separate the attraction towards a breed by nutty people ? I fear not ! In the right hands i think most " breeds " are ok but in the wrong hands a nightmare ! You realise this banning certain breeds started about getting on 30 years ago? With the neutering or destruction of Pit Bulls and yet we still have the same problem if not worse with other new breeds ? Only thing that's changed is the specific breed or hybrid.
Bans only seem to usher in a new crazy breed . I have been in a life or death struggle with a large powerful dog personally I am still around ( though I bear the scars) and i realise many would not have made it through that attack alive ! I have had three serious dog bites in my life so i get folks being concerned . However breed bans have never really achieved anything . Its about 30 years now surely from the first ? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is really the definition of stupid !
There are dogs already in the UK that most of us have yet to hear about no doubt ! I dont pretend to know the solution but history in the UK shoes us it does simply not work . Only a few weeks ago i came across two very poor owners with two of the biggest Dobermans up on their hind legs trying to get at me and my dog ( who totally blanked them ) I really felt those dogs needed a totally different type / class of handler . It would only take one of the owners to be caught off guard , trip, slip and fall for things to turn into a blood bath . Are we saying ban the serious bred Doberman in the wrong hands ?

Great Danes have generally great temperaments , German Shepherds pretty likewise . The Mal' is lighter but more capable by far ! Just a great example of why breed and size is pretty meaningless .
Breed bans though ? We have had them and the governments will pass more and they just dont work ! One of the most prolific biters is actually a Border Collie and i have found the mentioned Great Danes take up a lot of the Sofa but like i say brilliant temperaments in general . Dont fancy the feed bill or ordering in the XXX L large poo bags mind LOL.

The breed ban is working, it’s cutting disown the breeds that cause significant damage when they attack. Border collies aren’t known for huge amounts of trauma when they attack.

Belgian Malanois has an extremely high predatorial drive, and can’t distinguish between a rabbit and a human child when it comes to that.

As mentioned - the breed ban is a good idea and I hope it remains in place, the sooner the land sharks are reduced the safer people will be.

All dogs should be licensed in my opinion and that may reduce the number of neds with land sharks if they were immediately destroyed if no license was in place.

Thank goodness the " Best of the Mals " aint getting sold to the general "Idiot" . I have seen a Border collie trained on man work and it liked it so much it bit his handler . The collie is very easy to lock manically onto a job .
I personally dont believe so much in "breed bans" it really should be owner bans and that's done pretty well in the Belgian "Mali'gator " within the community . A well trained one with a good handler when on man work..... is one heck of a tool !
