How did the intermediary get the contact details... GDPR ?

It appears they may be a subsidiary of the insurer, maybe?
In their email they also said: Other companies may contact you in relation to this accident, if they do, ignore and inform us.
We think we have got on top of this now but it’s taken way too much time phoning and ‘mailing people.
I can’t remember when I last made a claim but I do remember it was a matter of doing a report and drawing a sketch of accident site and posting it off, end of.

Only speak with your insurance company. It’s their job to sort the repair and a courtesy car for you, that’s what you pay them for. Should take one phone call only.

Who is your insurer?

Insurer is Prima/Alwyn.
Somewhere on Gib. I think.
That is my wife’s doing, I’m with Esure.

Hi, looks like everything is going to work out fine.
Insurer has nominated a Volvo repairer near home and they we let us know when they want to collect the car. They will also provide a similar style courtesy car.
