Small folding knife

Like most I have a good few knives (including a couple of drawer queens to my shame🤣) but the one that always seems to come out with me is my Buck 110 Folding Hunter LT! Cheap (ish), holds a good edge, secure lock & easy to clean - never let me down yet.

I can’t see any pictures?

Have a look at the Ontario RAT 2 in AUS-8 stainless. Flat ground 3" blade, liner lock and one handed opening, you can configure the pocket clip to be left or right, tip up or down.

That’s a rather fine looking thing!

Hi mungo

I use a benchmade 940 osborne which is a small folder for all my deer stalking sits in my chest pack , I have used from reds to muntjac does everything I need

So many good options available.

I picked up a Leatherman Crater C33 several years ago on a whim. It has been attached to my hunting kit ever since. Sometimes as the sole blade, sometimes as a backup. Not too expensive and very functional. The blade takes a nice edge.

Still carry my old buck in a leather belt holster
The specification here is definitely not for anything that goes on a belt! The original inspiration for the thread was the fact that I forget to put my normal stalking knife onto my belt reasonably often.

It gets packed into the truck with everything else. But then I forget it when setting out once on the ground. But I never forget the chest pack - or at least, when I do, I never get more than 10 paces from the truck.

I used to have a pair of trousers with a handy little internal zipped pocket inside one of the cargo pockets, where a folder lived. But those trousers are long gone, and I sold the folder (it was ok, but not great).

Slightly more industrial styling than I’d expect from you?
I was more focused on blade size, profile and cost. Anyone can spend lots of the Op’s money!
