Climate Change Act

That is the central aim of the SNP./Green's. Destroy capitalism and turn us into Troglodytes.

It will be interesting to see if Aeberdeen returns the SNP MP's that want to destroy your local industry. We get the government we vote for.
There's a fair amount of bitterness in Eberdoom towards the industry, very short sighted...

I will not be signing. If you think about the weather patterns we are currently experiencing it is obvious that something is going on with our climate. It is not ours to do with as we please, we hold it in trust for those who come after us. The laws may not be perfect, but it is somewhere to start.

For the hard of thinking or time-poor - go to 7.57 and watch for five minutes if you can, three if you cannot:

The lesson: skip to 59:50 and try your best to hang on until 1:06:58.

It is social engineering wrapped up in pseudoscientific mumbo jumbo

Not that there isn't a real issue

Oil is coming to an end and the consequences are going to be catastrophic to an over-populated planet with expectations that exceed its talent and effort

Few people are net contributors in the West

Most take more than they put in

Most have expectations that a post oil world can't deliver

We have enjoyed 150 years of growth on the back of (essentially) free energy - oil and coal

Curious how there is a strong correlation between socialism and a desire to ''save the planet''

What is it they truly want?

Save the planet ?

Not possible - certainly not with this net zero bollocks

Collectivist control?

Altogether too possible - but not, in my opinion, desirable

I personally have grown tired of having to pretend a that a turd is a diamond in order to keep politicians, the media and left wing happy

(See too, the recent senate bill S4488 (apropos existential threats to the population of USA) and:

If someone were to suggest to you that the Sun has in the past and shortly will once again rise in the West and set in the East, you’d probably think them somewhat unhinged; and yet, the evidence that this has happened many times is all around us all over the planet. There is, however no such evidence to be found that demonstrates that carbon dioxide drives climate change any more than it is the cart which pushes the horse along a level road. It also appears that these days Alan Clarke’s ‘Civilisation’, Horizon and the content of BBC4 has been largely supplanted by the likes of Love Island and Strictly

If we hope to keep the lights on in the next few years this Climate Change nonsense needs to be stopped or we will be back in the Stone Age. If you are a UK resident please sign and share. Petition to Repeal the Climate Change Act
The only target we need is a drastic reduction in World population!
correct....too many chooks in the pen leads to feather picking and death
nature will always step in , it's not pretty when it does though because nature doesn't care what colour skittles you've dyed your hair with......
yes thats a given and whether it steps in with any or all of disease/floods/earthquakes/pestilence/droughts/wars it will come.
What is it they truly want?
they want to save themselves only and dont give a tinkers about any others

Saw today the head of Thames water wants (refused) to put the cost of improvements to industry on the public purse. One of his excuses was of course the climate crisis, seems like a common cop out when you don't want to pay up

Well, the Falklands have been inhabited by British citizens since about 1760 and Argentina didn't even exist until mid 1800s perhaps the Brits have the better claim

If not, then perhaps the Aussies better get rowing and give Aus back to the original inhabitants

The yanks return from whence they came

Perhaps we had all better return to central africa?

Or better yet - the ocean?
