Hi all,
I’ve been looking at the above along with others but like the compact design of the ogdens so was wondering if any of you have any suggestions recommendations of similar?

Monarch/Ogdens compact roe sack - either way it’s the same thing.

Had nearly 200 in mine - 28kg fallow doe yesterday - 2 CWD and a Muntie today.

Still absolutely solid - one of my best buys 👍

Thanks for the replies guys 👍I think you’ve sold it to me btw your not on commission are you 😂

I have an Ogden (think it’s a Sika Sack). Really well made and roomy. Carries 2 roe no problem. Had it for 10 or 12 years and no signs of falling apart as yet.

However I wish the straps were easier to adjust. I find it difficult to tighten the waist strap sufficiently and the weight remains on my shoulder, which can make it an uncomfortable carry if over any distance. Can anyone advise if the straps on the newer ones are any better?

I could recommend the Ogden's Compact Roe Sack - which fits around your waist. But if you are going down this road buy the optional braces too. These spread the weight across your shoulders - allowing you to load up the useful side pouches with kit (gloves, calls, gimbrel, rangefinder etc) while ensuring the whole thing doesn't slide down over your arse. A brilliant bit of kit in my opnion. Wouldn't be without mine.

I have the compact roe sack, dont shop around, just buy it. It's well made, and fit for purpose. I didnt buy the braces as dont think I need them as am slim enough that my hips hold the bag up.

Hi guys
Just a quick update after all your replies I called Phil at Ogdens and went over to collect my roe sack this morning. Can’t recommend him highly enough a top bloke who went out of his way to help. he even gave me a prototype harness to try out and only asked for genuine feedback 5 🌟 from me👍

I really fancy one of these has any one got any pics of them being used?
I'm not sure would it do my head in if it slipped down

Send it up to Phil, he’ll make it fit how you want, got it forever then 👍

As @Sitka suggested in another thread, just move it round so it sits over the hip, on the opposite side to your rifle. That sorted the slippage issue for me.
It’s a superb bit of kit, very well made.

I agree with Overlay Phil will sort out whatever you want, he can’t do enough to help,he said a couple of people had given feedback about the compact roe sack slipping he came up with a detachable harness while I was there and asked me to give feedback after I’d used it.
