Meall Mor Lodge at kildermorie estate

Has anyone stayed or stalked there recently? What was it like? Looks rarther decent I see they have possible grouse over pointers as well and fishing.

Not recently, I used to go regularly as a guest but my host had a disagreement with the owner and stopped going.
There is some interesting information on Google about Kildermorie losing a lot of their deer after they cut down their trees for a failed hydro-electric project. That was a few years ago so the deer may have come back.
IIRC it’s the estate next door that wants to reintroduce wolves.

I stayed in one of the cottages for a week hind stalking a few years ago - it is a lovely estate & good stalking. Make sure that you take everything with you as it is quite a slog down to the shop in Alness.

I don't know the lodge but it's a lovely estate with a good team and plenty of deer

There’s plenty of deer pal, red and sika.

Woodland close to the lodges has the sika and the reds stay on the hill area.

We called a big sika stag down to the lodge area.
2017 it was.

Interesting you say that , I grazed past this , I’ve been twice for hinds, my friend went for some ten odd years

Had a falling out with the owner and that was that.
