Wildcat Evolution? Good Choice?

Looking for a Mod to go on my Rem 700 .308 and Ruger Ranch 300BLK is the Wildcat Evolution an ideal choice?
I can buy a spare bridge to swap between the 2 rifles, are there other makes in the market that can do this that may be better?
Used for target shooting.

The wildcat evo is more of a lightweight stalking type mod, for target work personally id buy something else.. or dont use a mod at all if its puerly target.

i have a wild cat evolution and its been used for stalking ,low round count .the stainless baffle is badly gas cut and i would not recommend them l ! some people like them but i have moved over to ase utra moderators, they are very we;ll made and if used a lot will still last for years. for range use leave the lightweight alloy moderators on the shelf

will take a look at ase

if you are using a caliber specific mod <30 cal on 308 etc the ase beat the wild cat in tests done if using a 30 cal on a 223 yes they are slightly louder, on another note any moderator that uses rubber o rings will become louder as the rubber wears and can leak expansion gasses and can cause blow backs !

I used to use wildcat evolutions had one on my 204 when I had it, 243 and previously a 223 years back,

I rate them for foxing rifle cartridges but the performance for what you pay isn't there in 243 and above in my view,

yes it's a modular unit but then so it dpt and others etc, the design hasn't been updated for saying its evolution I would of thought the design would be bettered
by feedback off customers over a number of years. so like evolution mk2 or evolution improved ?.

They used to be the best option for the price point at like £225 but now cost £ 330 with the amount of choice on the market ASE UTRA, DPT, Stalon, ATEC etc
in my view offer a better price performance for the amount your spending depending on whether it's SS materials for longevity, end of barrel or lightweight reflex designs

there is a lot of choice these days on the mods market and depending on what it is your after guarantee you will find it 👍:)

I would go DPT OB myself for lighter weight or for maximum noise reduction DPT OB Magnum and like others have said put a SS Baffle on as the 1st to take the brunt of the gases
as you will be doing some target work, plinking this will help with longevity of the other baffles on the mod.

hope this helps

I have a stalon,a wildcat evolution and an ase ultra, the ase is the loudest of the three
