Yes, but some RFD’s might have older stock I guess. Easy enough to update though either way

I just took my new Condor 35mm out on a short roe buck trip in Scotland, I was super impressed with how easy it was to use. What a game changer in allowing you to find deer in rough ground that I would have never found with my binoculars. I use a new Pulsar monocular in the US, in the Uk market the HikMicro is less than 60% of the cost of the Pulsar unit, I like the compactness of the Condor much better, they perform very similar.

Are all retail outlets now selling CQ50's with all issues resolved? Are the latest stock units being sold leaving the retail shelves with the latest firmware already installed and all issues now resolved?

Depends on how long the dealer has been holding the stock for really. £2k items sometimes take a while to sell.

Yes. Obviously there have been soon units with hardware problems as well, which obviously aren’t fixable with software updates.
Yes, since the software updates I’m very happy with mine.
I actually found with mine that the hik 3350mAh batterys made a significant difference over the 3200mah .
According to the size of the battery is shouldn’t but I reckon I get nearly 5 hours of use on average with my CQ50 now per battery.
On a really cold night still get about 4 hours.
I’m not on the range finder constantly but I do use it to verify ranges when shooting.
More often than not il use it to find what I’m looking for if it’s gone down in grass. Range from where I took the shot .
Always hard to find things with a thermal when it’s under your feet.
So il walk out till I’m getting the same range as I know I took the shot, then if I can’t find it . It’s only a 10 second flash with a torch

First time out you will be able to rule out most of the stuff you have read on here which to be fair raised its head soon after release, battery, freezing etc most of which has been sorted with updates, bought mine beginning of Feb and like plenty of others has has worked faultlessly straight out of the box with no updates.

Did you ever make a decision JackDavis? If so which one and how are you finding it?
I always update mine when it’s available, never had any issues with updates and it keeps your device bang up to date
I’ve updated, battery life seems a little better, magnification seems to cycle quicker.
LRF still inactive on low battery.
