SITE MEMBERSHIP

This morning saw the membership climb to another 1000 people, so we are now over 32,000 members and climbing. We now have a diverse membership from all parts of the world. I hope many of you will make further friendships in the coming months through the site. On behalf of the site owners, thank you.

I’m not at all surprised the membership numbers are up, the site offers a diverse range of topics appealing to anyone even remotely interested in the countryside, is free (well almost) of political agendas and full of knowledgable characters willing to answer questions and share experiences built up over a lifetime.

My only sadness is the very low number of supporters when compared with the membership numbers, what’s a measly £6 per Quarter, used to send some lads on their dsc1 course AND you might get a chance of not winning the prize draw.

It is an embarrassingly low quantity for the size of the site.
Come on ladies and gentlemen where else is a membership a lowly £6 .
You'd pay that for a glossy magazine ( so I've been told .)
And the money keeps the site going and enables the not so fortunate to attend the dsc1 course. Which otherwise would be financially difficult for them atb

Full of interesting write ups annd discussions,all sorts knowledge but I also really enjoy the classifieds and buying and selling on here. It shows the current value of kit and there is often a deal to be had. Trade membership is outstanding value. Don’t try and fix what ain’t broken is my four Penneth.

I assumed it was a variation of trade or put there due to number of posts etc... (yeah I know, I am thicker than mince!)
Anyway, its a great forum and a great source of info and good chat, so just set up the 'standing order' with PayPal.

Thought about doing that (already have trade membership so I can sell bespoke scope covers at £20- not plugging them of course)

BUT decided to give the money to macmillan. Without them life would be very different.

Many good causes and only a bit of spare cash. Although this is a good site Cancer has touched me and my family more than deer stalking.

I can see your point, but 392 supporters out of 32 thousand members ?
People happy to spend lots of money on stalking and equipment but don't want to support this site.

I think if you dug deep it’s not short of income that’s not to say that the site owners wouldn’t welcome more

£6 every 3 months ? £24 a year ? For the entertainment and content on this site it’s great value for money. I don’t/can’t understand why many who are regular contributors don’t support the site.
