That was nonsenseI was asked did I want to take part. minimum qual was DSC2,
the nano second I considered it, I realised the venom and fury that would come from the bunny huggers,

Also. Are you an anti in disguise on a fishing trip?Good morning all,
Appreciate this is a potentially contentious issue, but if one were to want to get involved with the local badger cull in the Hants/ Berks/ Wilts/ Oxon area, how would one go about it?
Well if you're the shooter i think you are, we were probably shooting together on stickledown yesterday afternoon...Also. Are you an anti in disguise on a fishing trip?

Idealy you need to know a farmer who is in the cull and is willing to put you in touch with cull Co ordinator. It would help considerably if you shoot on their/nearby ground.
Cull contractors have to attend a training course and pass a shooting test. No other qualification is required other than having a FAC.
Full details are on the relevant government Web site.
If you are choosen and subsequently trained then you will only be allowed out with a partner.
You could also be involved in the trapping part of the cull for which you will.need a 12 bore shot gun so a SGC is required.
As previously posted your unlikely to be in the first few years of a cull so the opportunity to train and become a contractor may be severely limited.
Also the Labour Party is committed to abolishing the badger cull.

See post #10Gentleman be very careful this is a public forum.
When somebody who posts less than 10 posts a year for the last 14 years of joining starts asking these questions I would be very careful of any information you give out.
Just saying.

Ideally a single barrel shotgun, easier to poke into the cage. The OP has been a member since 2009!

Good but my comment still stands and many waded in with info before that was verified. He is sound, I’ve worked out who it is!
Lucky enough to have a resurgence of hedgehogs where I am. Out at night on one permission after rabbits and reynard, I usually see between 3 and 6.Hedgehogs - I haven’t seen one for years.
That must be the perfect environment for a Hedge Pig, an almost constant supply of nutritious eggs, and a safety fence to keep the badgers away... heaven for the little rascals. There are lots inside one of my free range egg units. Often see several scuttling around whilst I wait for Charlie.
Now the nettles are topped much easier to see.
Not many outside the enclosure.

Can you give me a better hint please? One half of the ground I shoot over holds badgers, the other does not.

Any Sherlock's out there that could possibly help me work something out....
