You need the Arken App to set it upInbuilt ballistics.
Does that mean you input directly to the unit like the Pard DS35 and Hik Alpex and don`t need to do it via the Arken Ballistics app please ?
Not currently. It's only App based at the minute.Inbuilt ballistics.

Okay thanks Ian.Not currently. It's only App based at the minute.
Good to know there getting out there mate, and thanks for the heads up on the info above that's good to knowSome pre-orders have already been delivered
Got mine this afternoon
Initial points to note: (on mine anyway):
a. The LRF now ranges down to 4 metres, but I can't get the scope to focus down to less than 8 metres
b. Mine came with an LED IR and in the main menu you can select between using an LED IR or a laser (vcsel) IR
When set for LED IR, there are three power levels and IR auto.
When set for laser IR, there are five power levels and IR auto
If an LED IR is installed, don't use the laser IR settings
c. In the System Settings menu, there is now an option to switch the reticle off
Cheers
Bruce
I may be missing it or is there something in the menu that can change the ret in the pip box to replicate the one on the main screen ?FYI, Arken are working on updating the firmware to allow direct entry of ballistic data into the scope
I don't have any dates for when this firmware will be released
Cheers
Bruce
The VCSEL IR in my 5-20 is much better than the LED in the 3-12, hopefully we will be able to purchase the 850nm VCSEL modules. I know the 940nm VCSEL modules are available but can`t see 850nm VCSEL.Some pre-orders have already been delivered

AFAIK, the ret in the PiP is not user selectableI may be missing it or is there something in the menu that can change the ret in the pip box to replicate the one on the main screen ?
When I select the T and normal Xhair ret in the main screen the pip ret is a +
Agreed, the optical output power of the LED IR is significantly lower than the vcsel IR, so the vcsel is better for longer range workThe VCSEL IR in my 5-20 is much better than the LED in the 3-12, hopefully we will be able to purchase the 850nm VCSEL modules. I know the 940nm VCSEL modules are available but can`t see 850nm VCSEL.
Any idea what range the led in the 3-12 might illuminate out to, please. The VCSEL IR in my 5-20 is much better than the LED in the 3-12, hopefully we will be able to purchase the 850nm VCSEL modules. I know the 940nm VCSEL modules are available but can`t see 850nm VCSEL.
Okay thanks Bruce. Hopefully Arken may give us the choice in a firmware update as I personally would prefer the pip ret to mimic the main screen.AFAIK, the ret in the PiP is not user selectable
Cheers

Do you know from your chats with Arken if 850nm VCSEL modules will be available to swap out the LED please ?We've tested it at various ranges and I'd say it's usable illumination range is a wee bit more than 50m
Cheers
Bruce
If you use the mil or moa ret then it is mimicked in the PiPOkay thanks Bruce. Hopefully Arken may give us the choice in a firmware update as I personally would prefer the pip ret to mimic the main screen.
Okay thanks. If you use the mil or moa ret then it is mimicked in the PiP
For all the other rets, the ret in the PiP is simple small cross
Frankly, I don't see that being changed unless there is a significant demand for it
Cheers
