Ive had to evacuate my house due to explosion

My wife has just answered the door as I was in the garage pottering on and shouted through that the police are here, I walked through the house and he was sat in the living room, Straight away I thought of my guns and thought what's up is it just an unexpected visit.
Anyway he told us due to an incident yesterday where someone has been seriously injured by WW2 ammunition you must evacuate your house ASAP as you live within 100m of the incident, He also said It is unknown how long this will be for but he will be in touch when it is lifted.
I hope the guy is OK but rumour has it that he has lost his arm whilst tinkering with some sort of WW2 ammunition.

My local hunter is a top manager for a building firm in Nurnberg he told me last night that one of his workers found a 250kg bomb just 60 cm from the surface with his pickaxe and the called in local defusing team said not to worry as the detonator was missing there was just a hole in it with the boommix left in the casing, it seems this was normal practice after the war here.

I hope they were genuine police, as the reports state a small area involved with no further risks to the public ............... have they found more munitions??

That exact thought came to mind when he was sat there regarding no more risk as I had read about it last night but apparently they had to reassure the neighbours.

We were allowed back in not long after the cordon was put in place, Everything safe and secure
