Hikmicro thunder 2 base mag.

I have a thunder 2 thermal scope which I've been very impressed with..
Last night, whilst out shooting I noticed my base mag has changed from 1x,2x etc to 2.6x, 5.2 up to x20.
What can I do to get it back how it was ?.
Not sure if it's something I pressed or whether it's to do with an update I'd done the day before.
Any ideas ?.
Thanks , swirve

Has the magnification you see through the device changed? Sounds like it's just re-phrased the way the magnification is displayed. I mean if the unit has a base magnification of 2.6 , it used to say it was 1x that, but now displays the actual mag.

Hi 20-250, thanks for replying.
Yes the magnification has changed ,also the top of the screen seems to have changed.

There was a firmware update that changed how the magnification is displayed
Before the update, the magnification was shown as x1 (base magnification) x2,x4 and x8 digital zoom
The actual base (optical) magnification of the scope is x2.6 and the firmware update now shows the actual magnification and then uses that to calculate the actual magnification at the different levels of digital zoom
So, the magnifications displayed should now be 2.6/5.2/10.4/20.8
What you see through the scope has not changed and you can't get it back the way it was.
All HIK firmware updates are non reversible

Thanks bruce .
You're both right.. just been through photos of the night before, standing in the same place. They're the same.
I was afraid I touched something After missing a fox which then decided to run towards me. With me fumbling around refocusing etc. Thought I'd pressed something.
Thanks swirve
