I'm wondering if there are any main dealer Toyota hilux mechanics on here please?
I'm interested in a printed Toyota inventory of what gets changed on both an interim and major service please if possible please.
Cheers
Jimmy

I think it’s all in the owners manual tbh. I do all my own servicing on my Hilux, including timing belt, clock spring, fluid changes, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, brake fluid, brake pads, lubing prop shafts, radiator fluid change, topping up diff oils and transmission fluids, fan belt, hand brake tightening, etc.

Much of this you can do yourself in a Hilux. And it’s really very easy

Thanks for the info matey much appreciated. I'll look in the book, but it's 2.5 years old so still under warranty if serviced by them.

How old is your truck though?
I agree, it's pretty easy, and I did my 18 year old hilux until I sold it recently.
Replaced it with another hilux, 4 years old, so warranted for 10 years/100,000 miles, I guess I will get it done by Toyota, although I believe you can get it done by any vat registered garage if you can prove genuine Toyota parts are used, have you heard of that @jimmy milnes

Hi yes I've heard that too however as I believe, but happy to be wrong, the extended period of the warranty is a gratuitous add on by Toyota only applicable if serviced by a Toyota dealership.

The reason I'm asking is my air-conditioning isn't blowing cold and it's to go in for service in two weeks, I'm wondering if at 2.5 years old it should have lost its gas and need refilling, and should this be a warranty claim ?. My house fridge is ancient and runs 24/7 and hasn't ever needed it 😄

Probably not tbh. But worth getting it done.

Just needs a refill most likely. £100 or so, any garage can do it
