Viht N550 vs N560 for 6.5CM

Advice please.
I am loading with N550, all is good getting 2774fps with 123gr SST's.
Cant find any more N550.
Can buy N560, which is listed in tables for 6.5CM. I believe it is slightly slower burning than 550. Tables suggest more grains of powder needed and nearing max it will be compressed.
Will it matter in my 22 inch barrel rifle?

Again, maybe not much help but I’ve seen Superformance and N555 giving good results in that calibre. Albeit with a heavier 140gr bullet.

I would say you're on the low side. I normally reload for all my rifles. I'm new to 6.5 creedmoor, and have been using factory ammunition, which has given me 2915 fps through a 22 inch barrel over the chronograph with 120 grain Eld-m bullets. N555 powder would probably give better performance in the mid to higher weight bullets.

I use n560 in 6.5 Swedish with 139/140 gr bullets and 23.5” barrel. It’s not quite complete burn in mine but does ok and is about 2850fps depending on how hot I load it / best load for the components. N555 is supposed to be great for 6.5s but I struggle to get it

It's what you can get hold of, not what you want. Hence the post.
I'll soon be reloading for 6.5 creedmoor using the 120 grain range of bullets. If I can get N555,I'll happily share my results with you. I have a lot of reloading experience, and that includes seating depths, neck tension and small increments in powder weights.

Hannams had big delivery of Viht powders week or two back, so hopefully you'll maybe see what you're after somewhere nearby ?

kind of in the same boat myself, iv just bought some N560 as its all thats about thats supposed to work, i have plenty of N140 which Viht data says should work but iv been informed by the SD massive it wont work well, but as you say, and iv said myself, for the time being its not whats best, more of what you can get

Although the UK distributor / wholesaler for Viht powders, Hannams will sell to you over the counter. Remember to take your FAC.

Same here! I have N140 aplenty, it will work but low on speed. N560 available locally but I really would rather stock up on more N550.

And if you do end up going there do ask them for directions. Its a right pain finding them.

Yes indeed! @tikkat1x, Hannams Reloading sits immediately adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the old A1, the road that was bypassed by the new A1(M) some years back. Coming from the West, your best bet is to get onto the eastbound A63, the Selby road, and carry on until the old 'Boot & Shoe' roundabout where it joins the old A1/Great North Road and they merge to run due south as a joint-name road. Hannams is off that road a half-mile or so north of the Selby Fork roundabout on the East (southbound) side. Neither the exit nor Hannams are signposted and there is no exit slip, just a small gap in the verge that apparently allows access to a farmyard (and actually a minor country lane that carries on to Milford), so you have to go slowly and be vigilant. As you approach Hannams on the A63/A1, you see on your left an iron post fence, trees, and a large country house behind the fence and the exit is just past them. On exiting the main road, turn immediately left again into a gated driveway and short track that leads to the big house you just passed and Hannams is there, the office and sales side on the right side.
