Wanted: Classic stalking rifle in 30-06

I have a Steyr Pro Hunter in a classic stock in 30-06 that I wouldn’t mind parting with.

Bare rifle, with a steel picatinny rail looking for £995 for it.

Nothing on Guntrader really jumping out at the moment...

There's a Parker Hale Safari in 30-06 on Fullbore forum. The posters friend was an RFD, now deceased and they have come across some rifles. Police are collecting them on 12 July

I have just picked up a winchester m70 .375 h&h from sportsman gun Centre. It's brand new but wooden stock and very traditional line and controlled feed action. Unbelievable quality for £1200 with the warranty and not something old and shot out. Pretty sure they do 30-06 so might be an option

His rifles are spectacular, this one was factory, not one of his creations

He can use the ZG47 as a "basis" ! He would keep action and barrel as donor and would do lot of fine tuning. Result is a great looking and accurate rifle. That one is 270 chambered.

Serial number preceeded with SC- , custom rings with the slots like used on the all weather rifles, and the LH safety gave it away you lucky boy!
