I'm looking for something fairly local to me, stalking roe - simple and no-frills. I'm on Skye and have deer all round my house (reds) and thus not interested in reds...no roe exactly where I am (elsewhere on Skye yes...).
Everything I tend to see near-ish to here for day-stalking is either going for big stags for trophies or doing a big "classic estate day out" with the works...totally fine just not for me at present (genuinely nothing against that model though)...that's why I am looking at roe mostly. I'm also a bit sick of working with big deer
There are plenty of options further south (which are well-priced too) but is anyone aware of anything in the (west) Highlands which would provide just simple guided/non-guided stalking and a good day out without breaking the bank? I have gone the syndicate route in the past but it didn't really make sense for me at the time, though I enjoyed it when I could actually go.
Otherwise I'm needing to go down south of Edinburgh/Glasgow which is a 6 hour drive and therefore kind of frustrating...I'd also love to go further south but adding in fuel, accommodation...beer...gets expensive...
If anyone knows anything which sounds like it might fit the bill, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
