Hi looking for the browning a-bolt assembly please it’s the orginal a- bolt with the boss system in .270 , my bolt as seized up looking for a replacement? It in the gunsmiths but he’s struggling with it , thanks
Yes having previously owned an A-Bolt I'm curious too.I have an Abolt myself. Not sure how it's possible for the bolt assembly to seize up? Is it damaged in some way?
Shot a few up thereLanguished in a Scottish bog for a bit?
"Various gun smiths" or RFDs?The bolt was not chambering the rounds so we took it out and my mate twisted the end and it’s locked up tight various guys gun smiths can’t get it re set ?
Arron wheelers one off the best around lad"Various gun smiths" or RFDs?
Sounds like something fairly simple to me that could be easily rectified by someone who knows what they are doing. Take it to a real gunsmith not just a retailer.

The chambering issue is a headscratcher, but first things first. When you say he 'twisted the dmd' what d'you mean exactly? Did he decock the bolt? The bolt was not chambering the rounds so we took it out and my mate twisted the end and it’s locked up tight various guys gun smiths can’t get it re set ?

CorrectSee my reply In your pic 1 it is cocked. In pic 2 it is decocked
Me neither But will be tough without the bolt tool. Its easy to decoct mine by hand but impossible without the leverage the tool givesCorrectIf this is the issue it can be recocked by hand and the bolt follower then rotated into its proper position at 6 o'clock to the bolt body. I can't think of any reason why it should be seized
