Efficiency of time and motion, spatial awareness, alertness, rapid appraisal of potential shot opportunities, well aware of personal limitations without being overcautious, quick reactions, accuracy, good follow though, no time wasted between shooting one deer and getting onto the next one in the group, etc etc.
These are the types of qualities that I have observed most markedly in lady stalkers, which makes them very successful at it.

I'm honoured that you would wish to nominate me for such a prestigious award, but in truth I am not worthy of it.
If you read my posts, you'll notice that one thing I never claim to be particularly good at (or experienced at) is stalking, and I freely admit to being a pretty poor shot.
But I'm touched, nonetheless. Thank you.

On top of this, how many stalkers will qualify for the PDS2 funding? - if they're already shooting 50+ deer (fallow) on ground on the High Weald, they already know how to do the job & quite probably already have DSC2 or are experienced enough that doing the qualification isn't really going to teach them anything they don't already know!?

All seems to be a bit of a trumpet blowing exercise to me, just saying.

All basics I would say , nothing special in my opinion.
I must say alertness is what I have found lacking in a lot of shooting folk , it amazes me how some folk don't seem to be switched on to tgeir surroundings, something I have been praised on many times , I seem to have a sixth sense on where to find quarry.

The difference between someone who knows what they're doing & has, probably, spent many years learning their craft & someone who has got their level 1 & 2 quals but doesn't have to hit cull targets perhaps.

Yes, basics. But, as you have clearly observed, a lot of people lack some (or all) of those basics.
And in the case of male stalkers, their ego often prevents them from acknowledging any lack, whereas the lady stalkers I have known do acknowledge it, and strive to overcome it. That, really, is what ultimately makes someone (male or female) a better stalker.

And, interestingly, far less sqeamishness among the lady stalkers. They're not the ones who get fazed by shooting pregnant hinds or does, for example.

I have never been squeamish, don't understand how anyone that shoots and kills can be.
I used to shoot with a guy like that and used to torment him by putting my fingers inside wounds and watch him squirm 😂
