Apparently there is a new firmware update for the Alpex 4k. Anybody done it yet and what it does please ?

Is that it, no changes to the reticles and holdover mark appear on the pip reticle ?

Interested to know myself. Been 3 updates as far as I'm aware since they were released, I haven't carried out any.

Easy fix just write down your X and Y before doing any update.

Something everyone should do anyway regardless of intending to do an update or not, just in case scenario.

Green and yellow colours in NV and the zoom has changed. No option for “zoom mode” it either goes 3.5-4.5-5.5-6.5 ect or 3.5-7-7.5-8.5 ect (depending if you have fixed reticle or central)

This is on the non lrf model

It's handy to have X and Y entered in the mobile. Always time to double check when out.

I find it easier to enter all the settings using the live view on my phone, so before any updates, I go into the relevant settings and screenshot them first. then after update and reset its easy to see and add any changes back in.

Does it give you exact poi after you installed new software, reset the device and put the previous x/y coordinates?

I clamped my rifle on a fixed poa before doing the update and pleased to report no change after.

On the LRF model there is also a choice of holdover mark shape and colour (in the BC menu). Previous data input to the BC is deleted so you will have to input again.
